Phase 2: Split Level Kitchen Reveal

In LOVE with my new kitchen! The roller coaster to get to this final product was worth the ride. After months of planning and months of living out of my basement and laundry room this kitchen remodel was worth the wait.

Coming off of my last post we completely gutted our old kitchen and knocked down the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. Once everything was out it was time to start laying in the foundation for the new kitchen footprint. Sink pipes went in where the new center island will sit.

Super safe flooring holes to run the pipes through. That's my husband, Phil in there standing in our downstairs laundry room!!

Framing in the old pantry closet space to create a clean wall for our new cabinets!

Meanwhile just got the new cabinets delivered to my garage! Aren't they BEAUTIFUL??

Made some finishing touch picks! Farmhouse neutral is the vibe I am trying to achieve. So many choices and options for this part of the process which can become overwhelming very quickly if you don't know what you want already 😀

New window installed and sliding glass door removed and full window door installed. Also, no more holes in the subfloor! I call this progress.

We sadly stayed in the phase of the reno for many weeks waiting for the contractors schedules to open up. It was winter when we were at this phase in the process so this room was a bit drafty 😅

We did get the electrical done though which allowed us to put in some canned lights and prep for some other lighting.

We have walls and a ceiling! Now this space is starting to come together.

Opened up the original kitchen entryway as wide as we could! There used to be a pocket door here so it was an easy decision. We originally wanted that entire wall down between the kitchen and the living room but it turned out to be load bearing and THAT was not in the budget!

Skim coated and primed all the walls. Removed that carpet in the formal dining room area to prep for the wood flooring installation!

Cabinets are in! Now this looks like a kitchen.

I can almost see us having our breakfast in here now.

New floors are IN and I couldn't be more happy! Such an upgrade from the 1970's tile that was in here.

The final touches are the best because they are so much more noticeable.

Appliances installed
Hardware
Subway tile backsplash mounted
Lighting in
Countertops on
Sink and faucet installed

We are so pleased with our new kitchen and excited to start living it! I have started to decorate and add things on the walls and paint some trim but these photos capture the day it all finally came together.
