Board and Batten Master Bedroom Accent Wall
Loving our new board and batten master bedroom accent wall upgrade! To get here it was actually quite a simple DIY exercise that I would do again the first chance I get on another blank canvas wall in our home. This is the before photo! This wall was truly a blank slate for us and it seemed perfect for our first accent wall attempt. Headed to Menards and purchased some pre-primed 1 x 3 MDF strips. We went for pre-primed (which costs a bit more) but it's worth the time it saves you on the back end. Up to you on how much you prefer to DIY. First step was to pull out the original trim piece that you may remember I just painted back in January! This is apparently what happens when you choose to paint trim attached to the wall. You get a lot of carpet with it 😂 Next we installed the new MDF base board trim piece with the plan to build up from there. We used a nail gun to attached the boards to the wall.
